Since school has started, I either have class or work (or both) from 9am to 9pm all weeknights but one. So my days have been looooooooong.
But this was one of the weekends where I didn't work or have school!
I am eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's Cheesecake Brownie ice cream while I write this. I'm also watching Kitchen Nighmares and the boyfriend and cat are asleep on the couch. Its 8:52pm. Yep, it was that kind of weekend.
The kind of weekend where my sister came to visit! She came late Friday night and we were both so tired that we abandoned our ambitions to go to the hawthore food carts, and went to Burgerville instead. We then proceeded to stay up late and talk until we couldn't talk anymore and slept in til 10:40 the next day!! (thanks, Cleveland for being so quiet) We had breakfast at Cup & Saucer, Dinner at Isabel in the pearl district, and a late night of hair dying with Reeces, Cheese nips, and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Today my sister left, so I successfully accomplished my photography assignment (where I was totally hassled by some 14 year old boys who thought they were the shit, but were more like little shits) and we had an adventure at Lowe's where we kind of got confused as to why they have so little plants there? Is it really too late to plant a few more potted flowers? Or what about little shrubs or leafy plants? I need to call my dad on this matter. Because we went there to get enough plants to fill 2 very small pots we got for our stoop...and there was literally no outdoor plants besides a whole bunch of dried up old marigolds and pansies for 50 cents. Maybe I just need to go to a real nursery.
So, as you can tell, we had a lovely weekend eating our way around Portland. Having my sister in town and some time to relax wasn't bad either.
...and apparently the real theme of the weekend was eating and sleeping with the cat, because thats all I have pictures of.
